Etsy Love

As a small business owner, I think it's important to support other small business owners! These are a few other Etsy shops I'm lovin' lately.

This slouchy toque from Shanione is perfect for this chilly fall weather!

I think amethyst has got to be my favourite stone, and I love the added touch of the gold dip on these necklaces from Terrafique.

If you love foxes like I love foxes, you'll love these fox book ends from Design Atelier Article.

I think this one just appeals to me because someone's twenty fourth birthday is coming up. You can find more cards and paper goods at Spelling Bee Cards.

This lacey bra is simply gorgeous! I love all the pieces at Tatiana's Threads right now.

Marissa

It's a good thing I have such beautiful friends who can model for me! I made a couple of custom pieces for my friend Marissa and I thought I would share how she styles them. The stone pendant necklace and the watch bracelet are both Salvage & Stone pieces. I made red pieces for her because she's a very fiery lady, I always think of red when I think of her. If you'd like to have a custom piece made just for you, you can head over to the shop and click the "request a custom order" button on the left hand side.

Classic Camo

Men's Shirt: Oscar de la Renta, Pants: Garage, Jacket: Banana Republic, Boots: Sam Edelman, Bag: Aldo, Necklace: Salvage & Stone

Is camo print still cool? I don't really know, I just thought it would look gorgeous with these leaves.
Over the past couple of months I'm having the hardest time keeping up with this blog and creating posts on a regular basis. I think doing school while working full time is starting to get the best of me. That, and I've also found the lack of sunlight to be a big motivation killer. When it's all dark out after I get off work, I just want to go home, eat soup and watch movies in bed.
Sometimes even things we're really passionate about loose their appeal for a little while. The only solution I have come up with for that kind of attitude is just to power through. When I'm going through a creative slump I find that if I try to push myself to continue working, eventually I get back on track and the thing I love feels fun again.
It's nice too to have a few different outlets to be creative with. Right now my painting and jewelry are taking precedent over this blog, but the nice thing about that is that my creative endeavors usually generate content for my blog! I've been working on a new collection of necklaces over the past couple of weeks, the one I'm wearing being one of them. I don't want to say too much about them yet, but I'm hoping to have them up in the shop by next week!
