Salmon Quiche

I made my very first quiche the other day, and it was so delicious that I thought I would share the recipe with you guys! It's kind of the perfect food to have on hand during the holiday season, when you have to serve all those extra people breakfast.

1 cup shredded cheese
1 pie crust
3 - 6 oz. salmon
6 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp dried oregano
salt and pepper to taste

1. Heat your oven to 375°F. Spread the cheese evenly along the bottom of the pie shell. Top the cheese with flaked salmon in an even layer. (You can cook the Salmon any way you like! I usually marinade mine in olive oil, garlic, lemon and salt and pepper and then cook it up in a skillet until it's flaky and delicious.)

2. Beat together your eggs, milk, oregano and salt and pepper in a medium bowl until blended. Pour this mixture over the filling in your pie shell.

3. Bake in the oven until the center is almost set but jiggles slightly when the dish is gently shaken, about 30 to 40 minutes. Let it stand for 5 minutes. Cut it into wedges and serve to your grateful house guests!

Etsy Finds

Another roundup of a few of my favourite pieces on Etsy right now!

I don't really like wearing earrings that much, but I've been trying to find a really simple pair that I can wear every day just to make sure my holes don't close up. These little guys from SMA Factory are perfect!

Not being a gardener, I don't really understand what terrariums do, but they look so pretty! I love this one from Boxwood because it looks like a little house.

It could just be that I woke up this morning with a really sore back, but this collection of massage oils from Earth Oils is looking oh so lovely. They'd make a nice little Christmas present for yourself.

There is something so special about drinking out of a cup that has been hand crafted. I love the dainty design on this one by Room for Emptiness.

I have no idea what I would do with a collection of cement diamonds from PASiNGA, but I'm sure I would figure something out!

If I were to wear a more significant pair of earrings, I would love to wear these fishbone ones from Prairie Oats!

I'm having a love affair with throw pillows and bedding right now, and these ones from Jillian Rene Decor are gorgeous.

I am completely in love with Paula Mattson's artwork. Her water colours are so beautiful.

Winter Wardrobe Woes

Sweater: Joe Fresh, Long Sleeve Bodysuit: American Apparel, Trousers: Gentlefawn, Boots: Sam Edelman, Headband: Salvage & Stone, Crescent Necklace: Salvage & Stone, Black and Gold Necklace: Salvage & Stone

Does anyone else have a hard time getting dressed during winter? The pants I own never seem to look good with the tall boots that actually keep me warm so I end up getting stuck with weird pants in boots situations, or I have to carry a change of shoes with me. I just want to wear flats and booties so I can show off my ankles like a Victorian era floozy. Without contracting frost bite. Is that too much to ask?

I am definitely a big outfit repeater, and this is an outfit I have been rocking non stop over the past couple of weeks. Big comfy top, leggings and booties is the ultimate fall outfit. Dress it up with a few accessories and you're good to go!
